Sacramento Makes Kiplinger's Top 10 List for 2008!

Sacramento has been named the 8th Best City to Live, Work and Play by Kiplinger.com. The top 10 cities selected were chosen based on economic strength, job opportunity, cost of living and local and regional amenities. The potential for future success was also a key element in determining the winners, with a major focus being the percentage of residents within the "creative class." Studies have shown cities with a high percentage of scientists, artists, engineers, educators, writers and entertainers tend to have a higher level of vitality and quality of life. Way to go Sactown!

But lately, Sacramento has become a place to savor on its own. "More and more we're finding all we enjoy right here -- great outdoor recreation, a lively arts scene, fine dining -- right here," says longtime resident Emmy Mignano. (Story Continued)
